It seems to me that the last few months of my lack of motivation to write is like the final sequence in Star Wars. I’m like that one pilot who, ever time he’s on camera, just jiggles and repeats, “Almost there… Almost there…”

I had a post that I had written and it’s gone now. I’m going to rewrite it because A) I really liked it. B) I hate getting called out on Microsoft bashing.

The computer is going to get sent away for a while to get some sort of repair or exorcism or somesuch… and so when it comes back. Well. When it comes back, I’ll be all sorts of ready to plunk down a few bucks on a wireless keyboard so that I can do some serious typing on both the website and (perhaps) some coding. I also must begin the redesign. So, you know. That’ll be done in a year or so.

People, I’ve been off work for over a week. I’ve gone to Toronto, Detroit, and Ann Arbor. I’ve eaten at fabulous restaurants and shot two rounds of golf (one 9-hole, one 18). I got sunburned and slept far less than I like to while on vacation, and now I go to start my new job. Because I got promoted while on vacation (technically I got promoted a while before vacation, but it wasn’t effective until my first day of vacation. Heh. What timing, eh?).

I’ll be around. I’ll be back. But it still may be a bit. Because, you know. No computer or anything. But, really… I’m almost there.
