The Things She Does

Not as excited as I look.
I love my wife. I really do. It’s why I let her do things like this to me. There are times, however, that it gets to be too much. Those are the times I think about trying to fight her off to stop her from doing the awful things she does to me… but then, I get tired. And I let her do this. I can’t decide if I should make a website about the things she does to me or just make it part of this place. We’ll see.

Run Forrest Run!

Dude. 14159. That’s my dad’s bib number. Yeah, he’s wearing a bib today. Not because he’s in a home or anything, nah… The old man is running in the Detroit Marathon today. He’s only running the 1/2 marathon because he was running a couple weeks ago and after 19 miles his knee really started to hurt. And he’s old. I mean, like… AARP old. I don’t care if he’s “only” running 13.whatever miles today… That’s just cool. You go old man.

New Family
I have a new family member as of last night. Her name is Katherine (or some variant of Katherine, or Catherine, or Kathryne, etc, etc, etc) and she was born a bit early. At 1.6 pounds she sounds like she’s gonna need a bit of help for the next few weeks, so, here’s hoping for her. Congrats Roger and Evonne.
This brings up a question I have though. I was out in Hawaii for a family reunion and I realized that, while I know how I am related to these folks, I’m not sure what their relation to me is. For example. What is the familial title of someone who is my Grandfather’s Sister’s Daughter’s Daughter? Is that some sort of cousin removed? Is that a _____-cousin? Or would she be some combination of the two? My third cousin-twice removed with a Level four broadsword and an attack level of +9… … … Yeah. I’m a geek.
Since comments aren’t working right now, drop me a line to explain it, and I’ll post the first good, coherent, seemingly accurate answer up in a follow up post.
