Conflicted
What the hell? Seriously? Cuil.com is trying to best Google at it's own game. Which is interesting. Because it's run by ex-googlers. Anyways, (and I just re-googled myself, and damnit... there it is again) Cuil just helped me find an MP3 site that lists one of my songs. Not all of them, despite my hosting them all at the same place. Just the one. It's fucking weird. And, I like that it's somehow available somewhere that other people might be able to find it, however I have a few issues, and I'm going to list them here.
Namely, I don't like that that the only song that beemp3 links to is freaking Give Up. I have a love hate relationship with that song, and it's less than my favorite that I have up there. More than that, however, is that the terms and conditions that they have on their site are expressly and completely contrary to the terms and conditions that I have on my site. Namely that the songs are free to be shared, share them, just give me credit and don't profit off their use of them. Hell, I even give people permission to remix them however they want (please, I beg someone to remix one of my songs. I mean it. Please, I would love to hear that). I'm writing them a terse e-mail.
Also: this isn't going to be my only post tonight, the web has sucked me in, and I'm going to get 3-4 hours of sleep tonight, and I'm ok with that. Alright, my anger at someone deciding to share but one of my songs is fading, I'm moving on to bigger fish.

P.S. It is, however, super neat to see my music on the same site as illegal copies of the Mama Mia soundtrack, Beck, Kid Rock and Mariah Carey. Especially since I didn't put it there.
