Yes, Yes, Yes… I Know It's Broken
Yes, the website isn't exactly "working" right now. I know. And I'm sorry for the seven and a half people out there who give a damn. It'll get fixed soon... I promise. Hey, at least it's not pink anymore, right?
In other news, I just picked up a copy of The Transporter and watched it for the second time. Now, while I have all sorts of issues with the movie, it's still a good time. I mean, enjoyable as hell, but fundamentally flawed in all sorts of ways. For example adding in CG tracers to the gunshots so you can see how everyone is shooting, and everyone is missing -- but only by a little -- is not only distracting and visually jarring; it also happens to be the stupidest thing I've seen in a movie since I saw a romantic scene written by George Lucas. All bitches aside, it's still a really fun, albeit stupid, movie. Which brings me to a film that opened up last Friday. The Transporter 2: Transport Harder, or whatever they want to call it. Maybe it should be Transport with a Vengeance... that'd be cool. And Frank could meet up with a black taxi driver named Zeus and they could transport together... and in the end, even though they fight a lot, they might end up falling in love and adopting a nice Puerto Rican boy... ... then again, maybe that wouldn't work so well. Anyways, here's a little excerpt from a review of Trans2...
"This film is an embarrassment. There is too much great talent here wasted on such an utter piece of s*t. Besson’s script and producing, Leterrier’s directing and Staham’s ability of playing a total badass - all of it spent on a worthless hour and a half that only fans of Torque and Stealth will find remotely amusing." -- Some Guy
... ... Now... I mean... I know that that guy mentioned Stealth and Torque as a way to make Trans2 sound bad... ... but... but... but I LOVED those movies... both of them. And no, I am not thinking about what my love of those movies says about me, I'm just focused on the fact that I have a $7.50 coupon to see Trans2 and that this movie looks like it'll be a win-win situation for me. It could be like the first movie, and I'll like it... it could be like the steaming piles of crap that are Stealth and Torque and I'll love it... ... and either way, I don't have to pay for it!
So, who wants to go see it with me? I'm thinking Thursday night.
